JACK.ORG | UNTOLD EP. 4

CONTENT WARNING: Mentions of substance use, relapse, and death.

This documentary was created in collaboration with Jack.org as a part of the launch of their Jack Originals series - a collection of audio, video, and written stories that tackle mental health topics. For Jack, mental health is both a global conversation and a deeply personal one. With Jack Originals, they want to open up the conversation around mental health through storytelling, education, and making space for discussion.

The Untold Short Documentary was filmed in collaboration with Jack.org on location in Barrie, Ontario. This video focused on substance use disorders; how they impact those who suffer from them and the impact on the ones who love them. The video worked to continue Jack.org’s mandate of continuing to open up the conversation around mental health - specifically around substance use and addiction.

The video focuses on loving father, best-friend, big brother, and son Corey MacGregor. His family hopes that by telling his story we can help create a country where those who live with addiction are treated like those who live with any other illness, where the stigma associated with addiction is a thing of the past, and where people get the support and treatment they need to heal.

In loving memory of Corey.
